Winter at The Lodge
Enjoy a hearty breakfast before a day on the slopes. At the end of the day, unwind in the lounge by the log fire with your old and new friends before moving into the dining room for a 3 course dinner. All rooms are under the one roof giving you access to the lounge, games/TV room, sauna, dining room and drying room without having to battle the elements. All rooms and common rooms are centrally heated for your comfort. All rooms have ensuite facilities and many have king size beds and views over Lake Eucumbene.
With the altitude at 1200 metres above sea level, we often have snow at the Lodge. It is a magical experience to wake up in the morning and see the landscape transformed into a winter wonderland with everything covered in snow. Click here for rates information.

Families
Mt. Selwyn markets itself as a family ski/snow resort. Providence Lodge does the same. We pride ourselves on creating a "family" atmosphere. Family and interconnecting rooms can sleep up to six people in comfort. During school holidays we have a special children's program from 4:00pm to 8:00pm including an earlier dinner time, allowing parents to eat in peace.
Many of our family guests don't want to ski. They are here just to play in the snow. Mt. Selwyn is the only resort that allows tobogganing. Families can have a fun time in the snow without the expense of lift tickets and ski hire.

Whether you want to watch your kids play in the snow, have a ski lesson, or take to the slopes yourself, it's all here for you at Selwyn Snowfields. You'll have a terrific time, no matter how much or how little you know about the snow. Located only 25 minutes from Providence Lodge, Selwyn offers skiing and snowboarding for all levels. There are 12 lifts for skiers as well as a toboggan park and snow-tube park. Snow making facilities cover 80% of the runs. This ensures that under most conditions there is skiable snow.
